There is something stirring in my spirit, and I believe the stirring is the Holy Spirit. We, the Church in the USA, are posturing for one of two things. Either a great revival or a great disaster. In some cases both. I keep hearing the same messages over and over, “Prepare for a harvest of souls,” and “Get the Church ready to minister to a great number of wounded and hurting people.” I believe we are in for a season of harvested souls that are ready for the challenges of the next wave of souls, the wounded and hurting. The main issue I see with the two waves of the harvest is that we still have long time churched people with wounds and hurts. The first message is one aimed at those long time wounds and hurts.
Church, start loving one another and get to know the ones who labor among you. The first wave of the harvest is close at hand, and they are looking for help with getting on board quickly. We need the energy from their first love and a reminder of why we got in this thing to begin with. We have got to get ahold of salvation by grace, so we don’t waste energy trying to make people earn what we already have. The second wave is right behind the first, and they need healing love we can only give by the Spirit of God. Take hold of what Jesus has done for the world on the cross, at His resurrection, and His ascension – so that the world might be saved in Him.
