These are tidbits of my journaling from devotional times. They are not intended to tell you what to think, but to go along with you as you think. They have been setup in numbered readings using “Day” as the prefix identifiers rather than a calendar date. This was done so the reading is not tied to a particular calendar day. You can start reading any day you choose. You can start on January 1 and read one a day for 365 days, if you so choose. It is all up to you. Be free and have fun!

The one behind the pulpit is a member of the body. There is only one head, Jesus the Anointed Savior. There is no one between Christ Jesus and you. You are as close to the Anointed Savior as any other member. Sit no other above God in you. Reason with the Lord.

Those who believe need to be revived, turn to God, and pray for our land. Turn your heart and mind to God. Pray for our land and for servant leaders. God’s hand is not too short to save. God’s ears are not to heavy to hear.

Life is not all about what you can do all by yourself. Life is a shared event. We still have personal time, possessions, and boundaries. That doesn’t negate the time, possessions, and open spaces we share. We accomplish many things as individuals working together. What else do we have to work with?

“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward humans” (Luke 2:14)! “That is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation” (2 Corinthians 5:19).

Don’t allow your freedom to be taken away by fear. Do not allow yourself to be a tool used to take away another’s freedom. Christ Jesus gifted us with His peace, not as the world gives peace by making us surrender freedom. Jesus gave us His peace while securing our freedom and our relationship with God.

Christ Jesus set us free. Forgiving opens your eyes to the freedom Jesus gave us. Even if you do not believe, forgiveness is a better way. Jesus healed the blindness, believing opens your eyes.

There is a peace that only comes from being able to trust someone or something other than yourself. Jesus left us that peace! His peace. When spending time with Christ Jesus inside the Holy of Holies in your heart, you are not being self centered. You are healing so you can take love from Christ Jesus in your heart out to the world.

Jesus has paid the price. The garment of salvation is yours. It is the only acceptable garment at Lord’s feast. Whether you turn to God out of belief or desperation, you are still turning to God. Turning to God out of desperation takes a seed of faith. God in Christ will be your hope. Jesus has paid the price.

Daniel served in captivity but he did not bow down to nor eat food sacrificed to the idols of his captors. Paul said the kingdom of God is not food or drink. Neither were wrong. Both believed.

Tell God that you receive grace in Christ. God never leaves you and is right there with you. Turn your mind to Christ Jesus and ask Jesus into your spiritual heart. Become the righteousness of God in Christ. No man has to lead you in the prayer. If you need someone to lead you, Jesus is your guide and the Way.

The act of repenting is turning to God and accepting grace. Repenting does not purchase grace. Jesus’ perfect love already did. Get to know God firsthand. No one stands between God in Christ and you. No one sits over God in Christ in you.

How difficult it is to think that we could all serve one another. We can imagine all the people taking advantage. We can imagine all the people wanting to be the masters. Just think of how it could be if we all served each other’s needs. With the greater servant all thing are possible.

Sometimes a person tries to be their own righteousness so the lesson can be relearned, “I cannot.” At other times a person feels unworthy to receive the righteous of God. Sometime a person remembers, “God is worthy to be my righteousness.”

Some people do not like it when you say, “Happy Holidays.” So I’ll say, “Enjoy the winter festival!” Do not let the traditions hamper your love for one another. “And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing” (1 Cor. 13:2).

Ministry is such a diverse term. Some countries even call their leaders ministers, because ministers are servants of the people. In whatever stream of ministry a person is in, they are servants. Jesus said, “And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself” (John 12:32). Jesus was lifted up. Jesus has drawn us all to Himself to be servants.

You cannot take anyone with you into the secret place where you meet with the Lord. Still, you are not alone. The Lord goes with you.

Jesus would not tell us to love one another, including our enemy, if it was impossible. It may not be possible alone, but we do not have to love alone. We love because God loved us first. Do not neglect your first love.

God so loved the world that He gave of Himself to reconcile the world to God in Christ. We need preacher who will preach the gospel (good news of the kingdom of God).

God reconciled the world to God in Christ. Be reconciled to God. Turn back to God who has already reconciled you to God in Christ. When you turn back to God , you are no longer traveling the opposite direction. If you see yourself walking in the wrong direction. Be you reconciled to God.

Grace without repentance is just as rich. The one who has not returned to God does not have a first person relationship with grace. Grace is grace no matter your response to grace. Grace changes you, you do not change grace. We are speaking of the grace of God.

I have more confidence in God’s grace than in my own works. Experience God personally. The anointing flows through your personal connection to the Vine (Christ Jesus). Do not listen to the people who try to make it difficult to know God personally. You breath personally. You have life personally.

The one asked to leave was the man dressed in his own self-works. The religious folk didn’t even bother to show up. The sick and lame along with those lost on the highways and byways answered the invitation, came to the kings feast, and put on the wedding garment of salvation.

What if God is like a dad who knows that each of his kids are different? Different likes, different dislike, different ways of learning and retaining information, etc. What if God loves us all with all our differences? What if God has more dreams for His kids than they have for themselves even with all their little quirks? What if mercy is God’s default method of dealing with us and grace is true?

Sometimes we feel like we have fallen off the mountain top. The closeness we felt in the moment is replaced by a moment where we feel so displaced. We are only comforted by Your grace. Mercy defines our only escape back to where we belong.

The prophet proclaimed, “I will be cheerful in the Lord, my soul shall rejoice (spin around) in my God; for He has wrapped around me the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness.” What work did I do when I recognized God as being God and turned to find God in Christ waiting and watching?

The church folk without grace are lost and fallen children of Adam & Eve. With grace we are the reconciled children of God. There is a reason Jesus paid the purchase price. Lost is lost from our relationship with God. The gift was not free to the giver.

We all have a life force within us. God breathed life into the human at creation. Adam became a living being when God blew life into him. That force is transferred through the seed of life placed within us. We have all been given a spirit of force, charity, and self control (reasoning). Go reason with the Lord.

We are seated with Christ in heavenly places. The kingdom of heaven is within you. You are the temple of the Holy Spirit designed with a Holy of Holies. Everyone is seated on the mercy seat in the heavenly kingdom within with Christ Jesus. Resolve Christ within yourself. Believe from your heart.

Christianity, as it relates to God in Christ, has not changed that much over the years. Salvation is still by grace. Christ Jesus is still our righteousness. The Spirit still teaches the living Christ Jesus. The church is still the body of Christ. The world is still reconciled by God in Christ to God.

King David knew God. Not just a concept of God. A spirit being God. Not a book learning experience. A personal one on one relationship. David was a man of valor who wrote love letters to God. Davis was just a man with the same access all humans have to God.

Yes, there was a moment when David picked up a stone. There was also a moment when the people on Jesus’ right hand gave food to the hungry; drink to the thirsty; took in stranger; clothed the naked; visited the sick; went to a prisoner. There was a moment when Jesus said, “Love one another.”

Joseph was sold into slavery by his brothers, enslave, and imprisoned by Egyptians. When He became the 2nd most powerful politician in Egypt, he did not brow beat his brothers nor seek revenge on those who enslaved and imprisoned him. Instead, he moved past his own past and worked for the citizens of Egypt.

Too often, we believe in all the stuff we are doing. We can give the stuff too much attention and credit for our relationship with God. In reality, God has been with us all the time (even before there was time). God has reconciled each of us with God (see 2 Corinthians 5:18-19). God the Father sees the heart of the seeker; God’s Spirit washes over us and Christ (salvation) dwells with us.

The challenge is to correct without condemnation. It starts with not blaming the person you are trying to correct for seeing the condemnation. That starts with praying about the matter and hearing God’s heart for the person. God’s love did not come to condemn.

The anointing does the teaching; the cross and the resurrection decided what is taught. Jesus said, “I have not come to call the righteous,” so the scriptures are as much for the unrighteous as the self-righteous. The scriptures are an invitation to go and reason with the Lord.

People don’t always talk about what they’ve been through for sympathy. Some are trying to help others who are still in it know that there is a way out. I once was blind, but now I can see is not a cry for sympathy.

You walk in Christ by the grace of God. You walk in faith as a gift of God. Even an unbeliever walks in Christ (that is where all of creation resides) unless and until they are cut away. God reconciles the creation to God. God reveals the children of God to creation.

Isaiah writes, “A highway shall be there, and a road, and it shall be called the Highway of Holiness.” Do not underestimate the power of forgiveness!

Adam snacked on a piece of fruit and took on a mindset of good and evil. We have been given grace as a gift to combat the mindset of good and evil. We cannot unknow good and evil; God reconciles us with grace. No matter how much we try, it is the grace of God that prevails.

In Christ we are new creatures, recreations from before the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil was eaten. Still we are divided between a fallen world and a seat in heavenly places. Still heaven is within us and creation is waiting for us to be revealed.

Joseph was not a free man in Egypt until God fulfilled his prophetic dreams. Jesus said that He did not come to destroy, but to fulfill the law and the prophets. The unfettered Joseph helped rule in Egypt. Where is your Egypt? What has Jesus fulfilled in you?

Do you believe that the Creator of the universe is so finite that you can store God between the covers of a book? I believe God is infinite and that you cannot. Is any book even a synopsis of the splendor of God? “And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen” (John 21:25). So in the book you are invited to come and reason with the Lord.

You do not have to look too far to see that the world is a mess of greed, division, and hatred. The root cause is, as a society, we have forgotten to trust God. We have forgotten what God has done. We use the idea of God to explain our self-righteousness, but not the grace of God to insure our righteousness in God.

It is not my intension to force God in Christ on anyone. People need to hear God’s call and respond voluntarily bring convinced in their own mind and heart. My belief in God and testimony of Christ should not threaten you in any way.

When you start treating people like you treat the unrighteous, remember that Jesus came for the unrighteous. Jesus sends us into the world as the Father sent Him. Remember the commission you have with Christ Jesus. Remember that God so loved the world that God sent Christ Jesus.

Water baptism is a physical sign of returning to birth from the fluids of the womb into a spiritual walk by grace through faith. Faith exists in season and out of season; when walking by grace in faith is popular and when it is not. Hate as you are hated is not the fulfilment of love as you have been loved. Do not return hate for hate. Freely give the gospel of Christ Jesus!

We do not have to hate one another because the news media tells us we should. We can love one another because we choose to love. I do not have to agree with you or understand you to respect you. We all belong, let’s start there.

Part 1:
When we say revival, what do we want to revive? Do we want to revive a feeling we had once? Do we want to revive our relationship with God? “Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation” (2 Cor. 5:18). Do we desire to revive the ministry of reconciliation? “Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God” (2 Cor. 5:20).
Part 2:
Jesus Christ prayed for unity. The world does everything it can to separate us into bickering groups and subgroups. Jesus said, “Love one another.” The world advertises and promotes hatred. Where are the followers of Jesus who are known by His love?
Part 3:
With all God has shown me, I mimic Israel with my turning to the desire of my flesh and the world around me. I have followed by chasing an idea of good tainted with the idea of evil. The love of God chases me wherever I go. If I made my bed with the dead, the pursuit would continue. Love came into the world with a mission, and that mission is complete. Love will not be undone. By the grace of God, I am His beloved. My face cradled in His hands, I turn my whole being to God in Christ.
Part 4:
It is by grace that we have faith! It is by the faith of the faithful One that we have grace. “Jesus answered and said to them, ‘This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent’” (John 6:29). “For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, ‘The just shall live by faith’” (Romans 1:17). In what? In the gospel of Christ Jesus. God reveals the righteousness of God in the gospel of Christ Jesus from faith to faith. From the faith of God in Christ to the faith that we live in by the grace of God revealed to us in the gospel of Christ Jesus.
