“For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him” (Luke 11:10-14)! In the Bible I am reading from, those words are in red. With all the talk about “New Age” and the power of the Holy Spirit dwelling within the Christian, it is important to read what Jesus was saying. If you ask God for the Holy Spirit you will not receive the kundalini spirit. The word kundalini actually means coiled snake (coiled serpent); and is used to speak of an experience similar to that of Baptism in the Holy Spirit taught by world religions. When you ask God for a fish, He does not give you a coiled serpent. Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him (Matthew 7:9-11)!
One of the enemy’s tricks is to try to instill fear in the heart of mankind, so we will not receive the spirit of power, love, and strong mind. Jesus told us the Father would not treat us in such a way; if we ask for bread He will not give us a stone. No! Instead the Father made the Chief Cornerstone from the Bread of Life, Jesus. And Jesus, walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” They immediately left their nets and followed Him (Matthew 4:18-20). If the Son of God said He would make us fishers of men, do we now fish for unclean spirits? It was Satan who offered Jesus a stone when He was hungry, not the Father. Jesus multiplied the bread and the fish, and not the stones and the serpents. It is Satan who tries to give us fear when we ask for love. Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you (James 4:7).
Jesus therefore, knowing all things that would come upon Him, went forward and said to them, “Whom are you seeking?” They answered Him, “Jesus of Nazareth.” Jesus said to them, “I am He.” And Judas, who betrayed Him, also stood with them. Now when He said to them, “I am He,” they drew back and fell to the ground (John 18:4-6). When man is faced with the power of God, it has an affect on the mortal body. You might say, “But those men were sinners coming to kill Jesus.” “… for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). You could also say, “That was before the cross?” And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was (John 17:4). Those words were spoken just before Jesus was taken and put on the cross. Jesus was not asking for new glory, but the glory He always had with the Father. We are not talking about a legal matter concerning the law, but a spiritual matter concerning eternity. Before Abraham was, Jesus is the “I Am.” Before the law Jesus was the blood sacrifice. Mankind is being given New Wine, but Jesus always had the same Wine; the same Spirit Who hovered over the earth at creation.
For a long time I held off on writing about this subject, because I believe God and the Son of God that I will be given according to what I ask. Yes, there will be temptations. Satan tempted Jesus with the stone and the bread, but Jesus knew Who His Father is. It is not my intention to debate people of other opinions on the matter of unclean spirits regardless of the name(s) given to them. Satan also tempted Jesus with power; but Jesus knew Who the real Power is from and would not tempt God. There are tares in the same fields with the wheat. God has promised to send His angels (not those that followed after Satan) to remove the tares and burn them. The other is also true; there is wheat in the same fields with the tares. Jesus instructed us to leave the tares or else we would also pull up wheat. Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you (James 4:7).
